Each architect listed here is someone I have worked with: on site, in the studio, reviewing drawings. More than 500 firms and names who have trusted the photographic coverage of one or several of their projects. The starting point was a dense network of colleagues from my own country, Spanish architects: Guillermo Vázquez Consuegra, Tuñón y Albornoz, Aranguren y Gallegos, Antonio Jiménez Torrecillas (†), Grupo Aranea, MGM arquitectos, BAKPAK, Cano + Ridao, GilBartolomé, Junquera, Antonio González Cordón (†), SUMA — among many others. There are young architects whose first significant project I documented, and veterans whose complete body of work I cover periodically. I watch their work grow and transform. That passage of time over their convictions is the most contemplative part of my work.
Later came the studios I have been able to work with through El Croquis: Johnston Marklee, Caruso St John, Bernardo Bader, Harquitectes, Gion Caminada, Eduardo Souto de Moura, David Chipperfield, RCR, Aires Mateus, Anne Holtrop, Pezo Von Ellrichshausen, selgascano, Bruther, Groupwork, Alberto Ponis (†), Manuel Cervantes, Gustavo Utrabo, Héctor Barroso, Arrhov Frick, Álvaro Siza, Xaveer de Geyter and Smiljan Radić are some of the 30 monographs completed since 2018.
