Founded in 1981 by Luis Fernández-Galiano, Arquitectura Viva is one of the leading Spanish-language architecture journals, published from Madrid and distributed internationally. Its monthly issues combine in-depth coverage of recently completed projects with critical essays, monographs and themed dossiers that map the evolution of contemporary architecture.
Issue 245 (June 2022) features a dossier on brick in the world («Ladrillo en el mundo») with the cover devoted to Francis Kéré’s work in Burkina Faso, Kenya, Senegal and Benin. Inside, the Obras section opens with Casa Szoke in San Lorenzo de El Escorial by Aranguren y Gallegos arquitectos, photographed by Jesús Granada (pages 12-13).
